Donald Garverick Biography
Mr. Garverick splits his time between directing, choreographing, producing,
teaching, and writing for the film and stage. Together with his partner, Mark McDaniels, they co-wrote Show Choir! – The Musical (available for amateur and professional licensing through Concorde Theatricals) and Casual Bob. He also wrote and directed a brand new science-fiction/fantasy adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan's classic operetta, The Pirates of Penzance, titled Space Pirates of Planet Penzance, which has upcoming productions in 2026.

Select director/choreographer credits include world premiere productions of Shining in Misery (Capital City Theatre, 54 Below), The Office! A Musical Parody (Off-Broadway, The Theater Center and 2019-20 North American Tour), 90210: The Musical (Off-Broadway at Theatre 80, Broadway Playhouse in Chicago), and To Dance - The Musical (FringeNYC). Other choreography credits include The Red Shoes from An Evening with Kathryn Morgan (The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,) Siren's Heart: The Marilyn Monroe Musical (Off-Broadway at Actor's Temple), and the upcoming short film, Ladylike (starring Jackie Hoffman).
Mr. Garverick is also the creator and resident judge of The Cabaret Showdown, a monthly musical game show that played for eight years at The Kraine Theatre.
Donald is a proud member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), Broadcast Music International (BMI), and The Dramatists Guild.
